You Just Don't Know It- Chapter 53 Part 1

ok so i'm tging i may not get to 60 chapters... i have an idea of a way i'm going to end it... ----------------------------------- AN: I'm skipping a head: P I just this idea and had to do it... 5 Months Later At Kevin and Claire's Wedding Amy: (watched with amusement as Claire nervously messed with the ruffles on her dress.) "Claire, calm down. You look stunning." Claire: Thank you, but that doesn't help my jitters. Amy: (Smiling, she reassured) "You're just walking down an aisle to meet the love of your life. You'll be fine. The two of you are the only ones who exist out there." Holly: Except the other four hundred other people watching Kristen: your not helping... Claire: But you're right. Still... brides are supposed to be nervous, right?" Amy: I guess so, yeah, (she laughed) *A few minutes later, the girls left the bride's room and made their way into the congregation, Amy sat down next to Nick in the front row. He slipped his hand into hers and smiled at her softly. Moments later, the music started and the bridal party began the walk down the aisle. Finally, Claire walked down the aisle, radiant and beaming. Amy saw the way Claire's eyes sparkled and her flushed cheeks simply glowed, but Nick was watching his oldest brother, standing at the front of the church. He saw Kevin's whole face light up the moment he saw her, saw his eyes track with her every movement and his mouth tug upwards in a childish grin he tried to stifle. He observed the tenderness in his eyes and in the way he took her hands when she got to him. Without realizing it, Nick's grip on Amy's hand tightened, then released her hand and slid his arms around her shoulders. She leaned into his shoulder and looked up at him lovingly. With Holly and Joe (there sitting next to Amy and Nick) *It was moments like this, when the love burned out so brightly from Holly's eyes, that a sense of guilt overwhelmed Joe. It made him realize how, despite how little he deserved her love, despite all the times he should have lost her, she had still hung on for him. It killed him to know how he had hurt her, yet she stuck with him anyway. As the pastor spoke to the congregation, Holly looked over and pursed her lips. Holly: Are you beating yourself up again?" Joe: (He blinked, trying to get the look off his face that she was seeing. Finally, he sighed and whispered back,) I just hate myself for hurting you. Holly: (She put her hand on his knee and tilted her head back on his shoulder.) Baby, I had my turn at hurting you, too. We've been over it all before. Joe: (He smiled.) "Oh, I know, I know." *He brushed his lips across her forehead and pulled her close. As Claire and Kevin exchanged vows, Joe felt a stab of jealousy. All he wanted to do at that moment was trade places with Kevin and Claire, have it be him up there across from Holly in that beautiful white dress, pledging their lives together forever. He looked down at Holly. Joe: Are youâ€" Holly: Envious? Yes. Very." Joe: (He laughed.) Baby, I want to kiss you right now, but I'm going to wait until after the ceremony."
